Agostino Scafidi was born and raised in Montreal, Canada of Sicilian born parents. His artistic journey stemmed from childhood, dabbling on a nylon stringed guitar and writing stories. Jump to the present day, he still plays the guitar and writes.

A few past involvements of mine in no particular order:
Extra (on indie film) One-Day Job
I had a role as an extra in the made for TV film Banshee starring Taryn Manning (8 Mile, Hustle and Flow).
Guitar player in Ileana (2000-2008)
Founding member of the alternative rock band Ileana. A highlight of my time with them included traveling to California to work with producer Arnold Lanni (Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, Finger Eleven).
Intern at Orcasound Inc. (2002-2003, Summer)
Music reviewer. Orcasound was a local entertainment news provider.
I created and maintained an e-zine (e-mail newsletter at first and then a website) comprising news, show listings, reviews and interviews on local Montreal bands. At its peak it received over 400 unique page visits per week. I also had the help of one volunteer during the zine’s later years. TZMagazine was one of the first local ezines!
I have had the opportunity to model for various photographers in Montreal due largely in part to the amount of body art I have acquired and my involvements in the music scene. Some were students that have gone on to become successful photographers and some were already established professionals. Some of these photographers include, Chapter9Photography and Lori Waltenbury.
Product Demonstrator (Fall of 2012)
I was hired to demonstrate a guitar product called TabStrummer(.com) which was filmed and uploaded to YouTube. Some of the audio from that recording was also placed in the product’s official video advertisement. I still have the video in my personal archives.
